In class we discussed the importance of interconnection in society. We would not be able to survive as a species if it were not for each other. As a human species we depend on each other on a daily basis for things such as, love, reassurance, and other factors. As Charles mentioned in his lecture, how long would you be able to survive on your own if you woke up tomorrow morning and realized there was no in your neighbourhood or vicinity?
Prejudice is judging someone before you know them. In class, two pictures were shown of two women from obviously different backgrounds. In groups we assessed what these women would think of each other if they were ever to meet. Our group said that they would probably prejudice or judge each other based on their looks and the way they dressed, as one was from an Arabic culture and the other from an American culture. Basically, they would base their opinions of each other on their dressing sense.
